Lux
Lux (unit symbol lx) is the unit in which the illuminance is measured. This unit sets up a direct correlation of the brightness of a light source (in Lumen or Candela) to the actual brightness that this light source can reach on a surface. Here, 1 Lux describes the brightness of a surface that is illuminated by a light source with 1 candela strength from a distance of 1 meter. The illuminance is measured not only by the pure brightness of the light source, but also, above all, by the beam pattern and the mounting height of the light.
